Wrightsville Beach senior portraits at Blockade Runner

I wanted to highlight this senior session for some location and wardrobe inspiration. One thing to remember when organizing your senior session is wardrobe! And Brantley was dressed so cute for her senior session. I grabbed some images with her sister to start off the session. This always helps loosen up the client and make them feel comfortable when they are able to share the experience with someone they love. And having her bestie with her was also the perfect accessory. Sometimes your lucky enough to get a bestie from birth and these two definitely have an undeniable bond. Their fashion for the session was so fun and youthful.

Brantley had the perfect youthful outfits during our session at the Blockade Runner hotel in Wrightsville beach. Her senior portraits were perfect.

She chose the most awesome combination and definitely made my job taking her senior pics, soo easy!  We actually did this session in the fall if you can believe it. Her summery complexion with her clothing choices fit right into our tropical setting of the Blockade runner. They have a beautiful lawn for their guest and I was lucky enough to be able to shoot there because Brantley’s family was staying for the weekend there. It definitely was a nice surprise!

What was great about this session as well was that she had a variety of outfits to fit the tropical setting, to shoot senior pics on the beach, and also to indulge in some fun pictures throughout Wrightsville Beach.

We started the morning walking towards the bridge, and did a photo walk. We got fun images on the bike, then headed into a beach dune entrance, and then back to the hotel. The images were filled with casual attire to some more dressier outfits. I loved that Brantley didn’t over dress, and it’s a true reflection of her awesome style that she had when she was in high school. She’s very youthful and fun. Her bright colors as you can tell go very well and give you a nice glimpse into her bubbly personality.

Colors and accessories in your outfit are pretty much the main components in creating the perfect senior portraits. Luckily for us eastern Carolina provides beautiful lush backgrounds and all you have to do is provide some fun outfits to go along with it.
