I live in a very coastal area and sometimes the scenery can be the same, but other times..there are these spots that are just describable.  So let’s talk about these spots. They are so untouched that it would make you think you are in a movie, or a novel. There’s a town nearby called Bald Head Island. You can only get to it by ferry. It’s definitely worth the ride if you are able to make it. It’s a beautiful island that is off our coast in Wilmington, NC.  Sure, its a luxury to live on this island, but anyone can visit it.

I took the ferry one morning and explored.. Along this journey, I was able to collect my thoughts and almost take a sabbatical from reality… This was one of those moments they tell you about.. The moment you step back and you are literally just left with what’s in front of you.. These moments, build your strength, they don’t tare you down. They bring your mind to pure clarity and serenity.  I sat back and grabbed my camera and captured all the beautiful colors that were in front of me. The disconnection of society was also really peaceful in a away. As you can imagine because you are more separated from civilization you don’t get phone reception.

And honestly, I welcomed the chance not have my head down, but welcomed the chance to stand proud, and admire all the beauty that was in front of me.  I hate that everyone has to be glued to technology. Sometimes, and in my life, mostly all the time, you have to live and not live through the words and images of others. But make your own memories, create your own legacy, and bring all that you have learned to light for others to learn from.
