Breakfast in Bed
This year already is going so fast. I have so many things I want to accomplish and already am feeling overwhelmed by my choices of how to tackle them. Is it really normal to take on to much? Is it normal to want more than what you already have?
Unfortunately this is the case, for me. But today I was thinking I need to slow down, and re-organize my thoughts. I’m always thinking ahead and barley live in the present. I preach all the time, but never practice what I say. And I’m a constant note maker but never follow through on all my notes! As I check one thing off, I am already trying to out write all the words that come to mind on the next line of paper.
Clearly, I have issues. I decided to give in and let it all fall into place. Because, God has a plan, and I need to just live. I put down my notebook and pen and got comfy in our guest room. I decided to pretend I was a guest at a hotel. (Ya know the ones you can order breakfast in bed at..)
Usually when you are guest at a hotel this means you are on vacation. So, essentially this is what I was trying to trick myself into being. My state of mind is always clearer when I am on vacation. So, today is my vacation day to recollect and tackle 2017 one more time.
Because, it’s just February and we still have 11 more months to figure it out.
This weekend consisted of introducing my husband to something pretty great.
I shared the most lovely treat with him. Its got maple, its got bacon, its paired with a waffle. (Yea, you might know what it is).. And of course, a nicely topped almost like a cloud chicken tender that lays oh so perfectly on this breaded goodness.
Yes, I was on a diet along time ago. And I gave up of depriving myself of not eating. So, I decided that it’s okay to indulge as long as you limit yourself. So, as you can imagine I did this with my waffle. I ate three waffles and left the last one for my husband. So, that kinda counts, right?
And, because I am good wife, he was able to wash that puppy down with some good old coffee from around the corner. Port City Java is truly a gem here in NC, and is exceptionally awesome when you pair it with Henry’s chicken and waffles. (there literally right beside each other, its a match maid in heaven).
If you haven’t already tried, do yourself a favor and try it. So delicious!
Today was a beautiful spring day here in Wilmington, NC. It kinda made me reminiscent about my life in Florida. (Ya know the state that is always pretty and warm.) I do love the changing of seasons that we experience here in the Carolinas though. Winter hasn’t been to cruel to us this year (keeping my fingers crossed this weather continues).
Robbie, (the hubs) and I decided to capitalize on the weather and head out for a stroll this afternoon. We walked the downtown streets and I had him snap a few fun pictures of me trying to be cute.
Emphasis on “trying”!
It is just so much easier to be behind the camera, but he did a nice job helping me out. I wanted to get a little bit more personal with my clients and have you guys feel like you know me. Even before you click on the contact link.. It’s always nice to feel connected to others when you don’t even know them yet. And than when you do meet, it’s neat to see how their personality plays out in real life. I’m a people watcher so I kinda enjoy this sort of interaction.
So, with that said I decided to start a weekly/monthly fun facts about me “Meet the Artist” .. So, here goes to me sharing a little bit of myself for your entertainment 🙂
