This weekend consisted of introducing my husband to something pretty great.
I shared the most lovely treat with him. Its got maple, its got bacon, its paired with a waffle. (Yea, you might know what it is).. And of course, a nicely topped almost like a cloud chicken tender that lays oh so perfectly on this breaded goodness.
Yes, I was on a diet along time ago. And I gave up of depriving myself of not eating. So, I decided that it’s okay to indulge as long as you limit yourself. So, as you can imagine I did this with my waffle. I ate three waffles and left the last one for my husband. So, that kinda counts, right?
And, because I am good wife, he was able to wash that puppy down with some good old coffee from around the corner. Port City Java is truly a gem here in NC, and is exceptionally awesome when you pair it with Henry’s chicken and waffles. (there literally right beside each other, its a match maid in heaven).
If you haven’t already tried, do yourself a favor and try it. So delicious!
Today was a beautiful spring day here in Wilmington, NC. It kinda made me reminiscent about my life in Florida. (Ya know the state that is always pretty and warm.) I do love the changing of seasons that we experience here in the Carolinas though. Winter hasn’t been to cruel to us this year (keeping my fingers crossed this weather continues).
Robbie, (the hubs) and I decided to capitalize on the weather and head out for a stroll this afternoon. We walked the downtown streets and I had him snap a few fun pictures of me trying to be cute.
Emphasis on “trying”!
It is just so much easier to be behind the camera, but he did a nice job helping me out. I wanted to get a little bit more personal with my clients and have you guys feel like you know me. Even before you click on the contact link.. It’s always nice to feel connected to others when you don’t even know them yet. And than when you do meet, it’s neat to see how their personality plays out in real life. I’m a people watcher so I kinda enjoy this sort of interaction.
So, with that said I decided to start a weekly/monthly fun facts about me “Meet the Artist” .. So, here goes to me sharing a little bit of myself for your entertainment 🙂
Today is Valentine’s Day…
I passed flower bouquets, cards, and chocolates as I strolled down the grocery aisles. I had it in my head that I was not going to feed into this holiday. I didn’t even blink an eye thinking about what other things I wanted. Robbie and I always say that Valentines is every day, so of course I wasn’t going to give into this made up holiday..
However I did fall into the trap of wanting a chocolate treat on Valentines. It wasn’t until I passed the freezer aisle that I realized I needed something to commemorate the holiday. I mean, I couldn’t be a complete scrooge, right?
I decided to indulge and be part of something larger, at least for the day.
So here it was, Jimmy and I for dinner, and that was my Valentines Day in a nutshell. Who needs a special dessert when you have this as the main course, am I right?!
(I think Robbie wanted it to be “Valentines day” everyday after having this special treat for dinner…can’t blame him either; and side note. I posted this image on Instagram, and my Valentines Day was fully complete when I don’t know a small show, liked my picture. Yup, the Jimmy Fallon Show “liked” it.. felt pretty legit!)
