I was lucky enough to embark on an afternoon adventure in Fort Fisher. Fort Fisher is a perfect location to shoot on, there are empty beds of sand all around you and the peaceful calming noise of the water.. So, with that said I shot my first Fort Fisher engagement shoot!
I couldn’t have asked for a more in love couple when shooting with Casey and Kevin. These two are college sweethearts and are so cute with one another.
When shooting couples, you either have couples that are very secure with themselves and are extremely comfortable around a camera, and others that are very focused on what they should be doing, and how they look. I was luckily enough to break the ice with these two right off the bat, and we were able to just shoot and have fun and be in the moment. Which is my favorite style of shooting. I just want to literally be a fly in the wall, and give a bit of guidance to push those moments that you want to seal in a photograph.
Kevin and Casey love to camp out on the beach, so we decided to bring their jeep, their pup, and some bubbly, onto our shoot. These were the perfect details to bring together their afternoon shoot. I had never drive in a vehicle on the beach, so it was definitely a first for me and was fun trying to hang onto my stuff while in the car. It was not only a fun shoot, but a nice bonding experience between photographer and clients 🙂
Good luck on your wedding nuptials in the Outer banks you too!
