[Carolina Beach State Park Pet Family Portraits]
As of late, I have been receiving a lot of inquires from past clients on family portraits. And this usually isn’t a style I get to photograph, but I am so glad because it allows me to re-visit with old friends!
I got to reunite with old friends last Friday. They had driven two hours and half for us to reunite over photos of their family. Sascha and Kristen were previous clients of mine. I actually photographed their wedding about two years ago in Washington, NC. So, it was a long time coming of us seeing one another again. Sascha and Kirsten are incredibly sweet, and genuine people, and I feel so lucky that they were able to make the drive to Wilmington. It definitely was humbling to have them travel so far, just so I could shoot family portraits!
It was a little cold upon arrival at the Carolina Beach State Park. So, we decided to get our blood flowing and head through the trails area first. The idea of the shoot was to keep it very festive. So, we were to make it look really fall-ish, and just keep the shoot very light hearted and fun.
One of the neat things of this shoot was that I got to finally meet their rescue pup, Ellie. She is adorable and so fun to be around. Her senses were on overload. She posed a few minutes for us here and there, but ultimately she wanted to follow her nose. It was cute to watch her explore, and to photograph Kirsten and Sascha in a different way. I tried to capitalize on them being pet parents, and I hope I showed their little family in the right light.
I loved our afternoon together, I especially loved our giggling over how we were going to get Ellie to look at the camera. There even is a picture of her where it looks like she’s smiling. Which I thought was AWESOME!
-Sascha and Kristen, THANK YOU again for making the trip, it truly means a lot =)!
