[Southport, NC Senior Shoot]
This year I definitely was in couple mode, but it was really nice to get back into my roots. I love the dynamic you get when you get to photograph one or two people, and I got the honor to shoot a gorgeous senior shoot in Southport, NC.
I met Hannah in downtown Southport to start our senior session. She was introduced to me by her dad who worked with my husband and with me briefly. I was really excited when he suggested I take her senior photos. Hannah is such a sweet girl and so easy to work with. She just got accepted into the Navy too! As the shoot progressed Hannah got more comfortable with the camera, and we giggle and laughed. And it was exactly what I needed to showcase her personality. When we were shooting we did some funny poses that just gave the most genuine smiles.
Hannah is a beach goer and a fan of animals, so we incorporated her pup into our shoot. The sun was starting to set so it was just about time to head to our second location. We ended up finishing the session at Oak Island. Since Hannah’s dad and sister tagged along for the fun, I incorporated them in a few pictures as we waited for the sun to drop. I need the sun to drop at a certain side of the ocean to get that magical light, so I decided hey why not shoot some family photos while we wait.
They were great sports, and we made good use of our time together. The light, the colors, and Hannah were nothing but impressive! I could have not asked for a better client to work with. Portrait shoots are my absolute favorites, and Hannah’s shoot definitely was a shoot I didn’t want to end. Definitely enjoyed our time together and can’t wait to see what she does with her new beginnings!
