During these spring months, local beach gardens are perking with beautiful flowers and lush greenery. The weather also warms up just enough to get those fun, adventurous lifestyle shots—whether you are splashing along the rolling surf or wading into the calm, scenic waters near the sound.

As an experienced Wilmington NC portrait photographer, I always carefully scout the best locations to track the movement of the sun. To ensure you get that signature, soft-focus glowing light, I offer two exclusive daily time slots for my clients:
The Sunset Session (Starts 1.5 Hours Before Sunset): Perfect for warm, golden-hour light, long dramatic shadows under the pier, and sky tones that fade into beautiful pastels.
The Sunrise Session (Starts 10 Minutes Before Sunrise): Ideal for quiet, completely empty beaches, crisp morning light, and unique, vibrant dawn skies that make your portraits stand out. Both options offer entirely different skies, but the natural beauty of a Wrightsville Beach backdrop is always unmatched.
