A Garden wedding is one of those things that could be the extra touch to your special day..
Garden Wedding Details
They are filled with greenery, and beautiful landscape. The perfect compliment to a beautiful white dress. Their are special details that make a garden wedding perfect. Such as spending time really reflecting on the mood you want to set. Do you want an edgy garden affair, or do you want something romantic? I got to shoot a very romantic wedding ceremony.
Rose bushes aligned the ceremony site. The Four Seasons Firenze in Florence, Italy did nothing but impress their guest and clients with this beautiful floral arrangement they were able to produce for a beautiful garden wedding. The venue is so antique and refined that the architecture structure is just an added bonus to this garden they have been able to maintain and preserve. Outside the ceremony area that they use, their are beautiful sculptures that are reminiscent of the renaissance period.
They also have a beautiful area that has beautiful wild flowers that are just perfectly placed and align one of the many guest areas.
So what makes a garden wedding, a garden wedding?
Well, I think it has to do with being one with nature. So a beautiful marriage if you will, between nature and elegance. There just something more intimate about having a ceremony outside than in doors. You truly are able to have a weightless but close feeling between your guest and the bride and groom.
Most affairs that are outdoors are usually with smaller parties. And sometimes it just adds to the notion of solidifying a union between two people.
Special touches are everything..
Adding special touches like rose petals on the floors and having a vase for guest to throw at the end of the ceremony can add that special touch as well. Fireworks, bird seeds, and bubbles are usually used for an exit, but nothing says delicate and romantic like throwing gorgeous petals in the air to a congratulate the bride and groom.
The wedding ceremony site at the Four Seasons is filled with gorgeous trees…
The tree’s; Giardino della Gherardesca are nestled just in the right spots. They shade the sun from creating those awful highlight or hot spots on your guest or bride and groom. This was a photographer’s dream!
Another awesome touch to the most beautifully romantic garden wedding, why not have lights in the trees? Or better yet why not have beautiful crystal in the trees. They had beautiful chandeliers hanging from the branches of the trees. They were beautifully laced with crystals that just glistened.
They definitely kept it classic. Creating an elegant and sophisticated environment by having a violinist or harp player was just the most perfect piece to the garden wedding puzzle. Definitely kept the romantic feel by choosing a lighter sound to walk to.
And what happens after the ceremony?
For the guest after the wedding, the cocktail hour was outside as well.. Patio seats and tables were arranged outside the garden while the bride and groom took images with me nearby. It was a nice touch to keep the guest feeling like they were a part of every minute of the wedding.
Bellini’s were served for the toasting of the bride and groom’s new life..
The garden wedding’s theme of being romantic didn’t end outside, although this event was brought indoors for the reception the bride and groom’s special touches definitely added to having the perfect day.. Here’s a few of my favorites..
Gucci Men’s shoes anyone? Black Leather hand crafted gorgeousness that groom wore.
And the final accessory on the wedding day. A pink rose bouquet for the garden wedding bride.

The beginning of my year started off with traveling to the beautiful Hilton Head, South Carolina. Destination Wedding, you say? Uh yeah!! =)
I had never been able to go to this area before, so nonetheless I was excited to see what the fuss was. Well, Hilton Head is a beautiful town. I loved the oak tree’s that lined the streets. It reminded me of my old home in Ormond Beach, Florida. It’s really clean, and new, and just very well maintained. Not sure if anyone really lives here because it’s almost untouched. But I was told that during the summer, this is the spot! This will definitely be a spot, we come back to..maybe next time to vacation, not work.
The story of Hilton Head with the bride and groom, is pretty special. This is kinda their starting place of their love, and the place were they decided to seal that love.. Their wedding was made up of all close family and friends. All which, made the special trip to see them get hitched!
Before we photographed the bride getting ready, we headed towards the Palmetto Dunes Beach House. The reception tables were decorated with places from the Magic Kingdom. It was really cute to see how they incorporated their love for Disney at the wedding!
After photographing the details at the reception site, we headed back towards the brides room at the Disney Vacation Club resort. She gathered her makeup and hair accessories and got ready for the big day. Her details were gorgeous..
How cute are her brother and his son getting ready.. It was really cute to see the whole family get ready in one place, and especially to see this candid moment!
And this ring.. .Wow!! Jeremy did a super fantastical job at choosing something that was definitely going to be remembered, and timeless…
And how cute are Leslie’s shoes! I love how delicate and comfortable they looked.. (definitely a girl after my own heart).
As the bride got ready, the Beach House was transforming into the most beautiful ceremony site. The ocean played a wonderful backdrop! They had butterfly pots with pom poms. Palmetto Dunes Beach House is really quaint and actually pretty perfect for a beach wedding. I really enjoyed how intimate it felt.
The wedding theme was Disney, but focusing on Mary Poppins. The groom and his groomsmen wore white tuxedo’s that mimicked the penguins from the film.
Leslie’s dad wore a celtic inspired wedding tuxedo. He was really spiffy in his kilt. She opted to get ready at the ceremony site, so her dad was awesome enough to bring her dress in. Leslie’s dress was a beautiful white gown from David’s bridal that was nothing but fairytale-ish.
She was a gorgeous bride.. Beautiful as could be!
Leslie and Jeremy are the sweetest couple. They walked to Disney themed music, and looked into one another’s eyes as they read their written vows to one another. Jeremy was really eager to see his bride walk down the aisle.
The emotions were definitely pouring as she walked down the aisle…
After their I do’s, we snuck back to the Hilton Head Disney resort were we snapped some photo’s off the harbor, and definitely made it a point to take a photo with the wooden bench, that had Walt Disney’s initials; as a keepsake! 🙂
Leslie and Jeremy’s families were amazing and such a fun group! Boy did they have lots of fun! Dj Crush definitely killed it, he kept them dancing all night!
They were kind, and generous and just overall special people…. We can’t express how thankful we were for your company, and your willingness to roll with all the events of the day!
And lastly.. they exited with bird seed! What a fun idea! This was our first, and it was really fun and cute to see the bride and groom’s reactions 🙂
Leslie and Jeremy, your love is innocent, pure, and beautiful. I hope it stays and grows into something that is everlasting and endless!
